So right after food and clothing, home decorations are one of my favorite things to purchase. I am telling y’all nothing new when I say that accessories & art can finish or transform a room. They are the quickest way to update a blah space or pull together a disjointed room. They are also the best way to get a “design fix” when you have a limited budget and limited design skills.
This is why I am LOVING One Kings Lane. Think of them as the Gilt.com of the home designer set. Their premise is simple – living beautifully doesn’t have to be a fantasy. With the abundance of stylish designs on a myriad of price ranges, should have access to the world’s best designer furniture, decor and home furnishings. Truth be told, I was always jealous of my friends in the interior design business — they always scored the best deals on the coolest stuff. Well not any more! One Kings Lane (www.onekingslane.com) brings designer goods to us common folk!
New sales events launch daily at 8am PT/ 11am ET and last 72 hours and quantities are limited. To obtain access to these golden goodies, you will need to register as a member. Don’t worry — membership is free and relatively SPAM free from what I can tell. So whether your tastes run from Thomas Paul fabrics to Candice Olsen lighting or that obscure Italian designer that makes those beautiful baubles that we all covet, One King’s Lane has got you covered. So for 5 minutes of your time, you could save up to 70% on your coveted rug, picture or chair…not a bad deal if I do say so myself.
On a side note, the web site also does what they call “Tastemaker Tag Sales” where they select prominent designers to curate and online sale of furniture, home goods and other wares that display that designer’s aesthetic. I am excited that Grant Gibson, a person I have had the opportunity to meet on several occasions, was asked to curate the Tastemaker Tag Sale coming up this weekend. I encourage you all to check his sale out — his taste is normally flawless and he is a pretty darn nice guy to boot.
